Emily-Joy Smith

Studovala na Joyce Mason School of Dance v Scunthorpe, dále absolvovala několik kurzů a stáží, kde se zdokonalovala v baletní technice (York Scholars, Northern Ballet Theatre, Arts Educational School, Classical Course v London Studio Centre). Po studiu působila v Souboru Sarasota Ballet Company na Floridě (Ruský tanec v Balanchinově Serenádě), od roku 2012 tančila jako sólistka v souboru Vienna Festival Ballet, kde nastudovala role Odetty v Labutím jezeře, Zlou královnu ve Sněhurce, Cukrovou vílu v Louskáčkovi, Šeříkovou vílu ve Spící krasavici, účinkovala v Popelce nebo Rapsodii v modrém. Členkou baletního souboru Moravského divadla v Olomouci je od sezony 2015/16. V roce 2017 získala Cenu MDO za nejlepší ženský jevištní výkon v sezoně 2016/2017.

Emily studied at the Joyce Mason School of Dance in Scunthorpe; later on, she attended several courses and internships where she continued to perfect her ballet technique (York Scholars, Northern Ballet Theatre, Arts Educational School, Classical Course at the London Studio Centre). Following her studies, she performed in the Sarasota Ballet Company in Florida (Russian dance in the Balanchine Serenade), and from 2012, she danced as a soloist in the Vienna Festival Ballet company, where she performed the roles of Odette in Swan Lake, the evil queen in Snow White, the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker, and the Lilac Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty. She also performed in Cinderella and Rhapsody in Blue. She has been a member of the ballet company of the Moravian Theatre Olomouc since the 2015/16 season. In 2017, she was awarded the MTO Prize for the best female stage performance in the 2016/2017 season.
